Conference “Roman Ingarden and His Times” 25-27 October 2018
On October 25-27, 2018, the Jagiellonian University held an international scientific conference “Roman Ingarden and His Times. An International Philosophical Conference.” The conference gathered an international group of scientists dealing with the philosophy of Roman Ingarden and Western phenomenology of the turn of the century. During the conference special lectures were given by: prof. Dagfinn Kåre Føllesdal (C.I. Lewis Professor of Philosophy Emeritus at Stanford University, Professor of Philosophy Emeritus at University of Oslo), prof. Władysław Stróżewski (Professor of Philosophy Emeritus at Jagiellonian University in Kraków), prof. Jan Hertrich-Woleński (Professor of Philosophy Emeritus at Jagiellonian University in Kraków) and prof. Krzysztof Ingarden (Professor of Architecture at Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University). The conference was financed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Poland, as part of the DIALOG program. The organizers of the conference were the creators of The Roman Ingarden Digital Archive, prof. Leszek Sosnowski, dr Natalia Anna Michna and dr Dominika Czakon.
During the conference the International Workshop “Perspectives of International Collaboration on European Scientific Archives” took place. The workshop was attended by representatives of important European research and archiving centers from Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and France.
